Caregiver that was injured at home?

I have hired a caregiver, who takes takes care of my 17 year-old son, who has CP (Cerebral Palsy). I think that this past week, my son had scratched him, and he might have got injured. Am I responsible for this injury? Can he do a law-suit against me? I really don’t if the injury was there before or happened on the day. If he does a lawsuit, can he prove that my son caused the injury?
The incident was not intentional, it was accident. I have informed my caregiver before, that the child is rough at times, and gets aggressive. He has complained to me, but the main problem is that he doesn’t understand English or or speak English. (only a little bit)
