is medical evidence and verbal admittance enough proof?

She has never told the hospital or her gp who the person was that really caused her injuries. she did manage to tape her attacker admitting to his violence towards her. Would both of this evidence stand up in court???.One of her injuries was a fractured chest bone we he jumped on top of her, she said that she fell up the stairs to the hospital rather than tell them the truth. who do you think the courts would believe??
