Employee rights in Missouri?
bikerlbf406 asked:
In tMissouri, if an employee who is full time (40 hrs wkly) is injured in a car-accident non-work related & is out of work for 1 month on doctor orders because of injury, is the employer required by law to give them the same position when they come back with doctors release? I ask because when I returned to work I found out they filled my position so they put me part time (40 hrs every 2 wks) until a full time position opened up. Three months later they fired someone & put me back in full time. Now a week later they decided to bump me back down to part time at 32 hrs wkly in order to give one the officers they hired while I was out on injuries full time work. By the way I work contract security so they could give me the extra hrs I miss at another post, but it would be less money per hour for that post. I’m also being denied my 1 week vacation they give full time employees after 1 year since I left work for the injuries after only being there 11 months. Can they legally do this crap?
