Can the buyer sue me for a car I sold to him “as is”?
Dan T asked:
recently sold a car on e-bay stating the car is in running condition, and sold “as is.” A few weeks later, I get a letter saying I’m being sued because the car got into an accident because of a faulty brakes. Unfortunately, the accident caused some injuries to the person, and now they are asking for 2 million dollars, but “is willing to settle.”

Am I responsible for the accident? What are the laws regarding this? Even though I said “as is,” are there any further connotations of “running”?
This is in the state of Florida, by the way if that matters.
